This is a 2014 Iklan Raya / Eid al-Fitr TV from TM Telekom Malaysia Webfilm titled "Adik" (Malay Version).
This , titled “ADIK” features a young girl who likes to explore kampung life in the most adventurous ways and always tests the limits of her doting parents with her imagination. Children will be children, and parents need to provide their guidance in bringing up the children, and let them learn what is right and what is wrong. Saying sorry and accepting apologies may be a daily affair for most of us, but during Aidilfitri it is a momentous occasion in all families.
For the next several videos, MalayUSA is proud to present, feature and host on its channel, "Iklan Raya" or Eid al-Fitr TV s from selected companies in Malaysia throughout the last few years. Hari Raya Aidilfitri is the time of year for Malays to strengthen ties, seek reconciliation and bond with loved ones. Since our subscribers are from all over the world and come from various diverse background, races and religions, MalayUSA sees this an opportunity to show the world the beauty of Malaysia as a multi-racial and multi-religious society.
Not only that, we're also hoping that our children and other Malay diaspora elsewhere can maintain continuous connection primarily to their cultural roots, historical values and strengthening language skills by watching these amazing s.
All of these s will be made public during the month of Ramadhan and Syawal. Popular ones will be made available throughout the year. About Hari Raya Aidil Fitri (Eid ul or al-Fitr):
The Festival of the Breaking of the Fast, called Hari Raya Aidilfitri, is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims. Hari Raya literally means ‘celebration day’, and Hari Raya Aidilfitri is the day that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of dawn-to-sunset fasting.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri is considered one of the two most important celebrations for Muslims, the other being Hari Raya Haji – the festival of Abraham’s sacrifice.
Hari Raya is one of the biggest holidays in Malaysia, and many Muslims (and even non-Muslims) return to their family home (balik kampong) driving or flying home for a couple of days before the day to be with their families and loved ones. There are often jams during this travelling time but these soon resolve as other travellers reach their destinations.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri sees families and friends seeking forgiveness from each other, visiting ancestors’ graves, saying prayers at the mosque and visiting relatives and friends to feast traditional Malay delicacies like ketupat, rendang, satay, lemang and curry. In Malaysia, children are given token sums of money from their parents or elders.
The Ramadan period has communal aspects to it with many of the basic values of the Muslim community, such as empathy for the poor, charity, worship, steadfastness and patience being expressed more during this period.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a joyous celebration that involves happy feasting in homes everywhere where family members greet one another with Selamat Hari Raya.
